It has been wonderful to see the students getting outside more this past week. The warmer weather appears to be very welcome among I.S.N. students.
In the Grade 4 classroom, we have been re-thinking our work.
At the end of last week, the class was tasked with creating a group presentation with a duration of 15 minutes. The theme for the presentation was medicine. What is it? How does it work? Where does it come from? Are there any side-effects? A website was also shared with everyone as an example of how to present on this topic.
On Monday morning, everyone lined up to deliver the presentation.
However, it didn’t work. Firstly, the task criteria was a presentation that was 15 minutes in length. This presentation was 7 minutes long. Secondly, the content was confusing and the presentation as a whole lacked structure.
After considering these criticisms, it was decided that the presentation would be reviewed and delivered again.
