G6:A LITTLE PROGRESS EACH DAY ADDS UP TO BIG RESULTS

Dear all!

Summer brings a wave of excitement and endless possibilities. Our students are ready to dive into new adventures and experiences. We encourage everyone to make the most of this sunny season by exploring nature, engaging in outdoor activities, and continuing their learning journey in a fun and relaxed manner.

As we step into the vibrant season of summer, we are thrilled to share the progress and activities our students have been engaged in. This month has been filled with learning, creativity, and lots of fun. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights!

Our exploration of Botany in Unit Two of our IB curriculum, HOW THE WORLD WORKS has been a fascinating journey into understanding how plants play a crucial role in our world. Students have delved into the intricacies of plant life, from photosynthesis to the various types of plants that inhabit our planet. This unit has not only expanded their knowledge but also sparked a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Our final sports and swimming pool session was a splash! Students showcased their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in various games and activities. It was a joyous event that highlighted the importance of physical activity and the joy of participating in sports. We are proud of their enthusiasm and achievements.

Celebrating Tanabata Day was a magical experience for our students. They embraced the Japanese tradition by writing their wishes on colorful strips of paper and hanging them on bamboo branches. This cultural celebration was a beautiful reminder of the importance of dreams and aspirations, bringing a touch of global awareness to our school community.

Our budding scientists have been busy creating and maintaining habitats that they check every day. This project has taught them the importance of responsibility and the delicate balance required to sustain life. Observing their habitats has provided valuable insights into ecosystems and the interconnectedness of living organisms.

Our show and tell sessions have been a hit! Students eagerly shared their projects, hobbies, and experiences with their peers, fostering a sense of community and confidence in public speaking. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for students to express themselves and learn from each other.

We are immensely proud of our Grade 6 students for their outstanding performance in the 4th school assembly. They took on the responsibility with dedication and delivered a flawless presentation. Their hard work and teamwork were evident, and they set a shining example for the entire school.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the upcoming science fair, where our students will showcase their biome projects. This project encourages them to explore different biomes, understand their characteristics, and present their findings creatively. We can’t wait to see the innovative and informative projects our students will bring to the fair.

As we wrap up this blog, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents for their continuous support and encouragement. Together, we are nurturing a community of curious, confident, and capable learners. Here’s to a fantastic summer and more exciting adventures ahead!
