ISN Teachers’ 2-day Lunch date

The two-day lunch event at the International School of Nagano was a wonderful opportunity for teachers to strengthen their relationships and foster a collaborative environment. The gathering aimed to create a comfortable atmosphere where colleagues could bond, share experiences, and reflect on their professional journeys.

On the first day, the group enjoyed a communal lunch while discussing reflections from the summer school program. This reflective practice allowed teachers to share insights and lessons learned, setting a positive tone for the days to come. Following the meal, participants engaged in sharing personal stories from their summer breaks. Conversations flowed as teachers recounted their adventures, family time, and memorable moments spent with friends. This sharing not only helped in breaking the ice but also in building a sense of community among the staff.

Games and interactive activities were integral to the event, adding an element of fun and engagement. Everyone participated enthusiastically, demonstrating good sportsmanship and camaraderie. These activities were designed not only for enjoyment but also to encourage teamwork and collaboration, essential components of a thriving educational environment.

As the event progressed, reflections on the experience led to discussions about future gatherings. Participants expressed a desire for more such activities and brainstormed ideas on how to enhance these experiences. The overall sentiment was one of happiness and fulfillment, with many teachers leaving the event feeling more connected to their colleagues.

Looking ahead, the hope is to make this gathering an annual tradition, with plans to expand and enrich the activities each year. By continuing to foster these meaningful interactions, the International School of Nagano aims to cultivate a supportive and collaborative workplace culture that benefits both staff and students alike.
