G6 Horror!

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all well. I have to say that I am loving the weather, the afternoons are quite beautiful and warm to spend some time outside. This week, we enjoyed Halloween and spookiness, we also spent some time in the school garden and that was pretty fun.

As we are having a shorter week, we haven’t had a lot of activities to do although the grade 6 students began their first activity of unit 4. The students had to look for a few words and terms, which are the characteristics of a classical music. They also had to research some popular songs created by some of the most popular classical artists of all time, Ludwig van Beethoven, Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Mozart.

This was our introduction to line of inquiry 1. This was a fun activity for the students to complete. This week the students also had a bit of a Halloween party. We dressed up in our best impressions of farm girls, snorlax, football star characters and famous musicians. We also watched Caroline, and we also had snacks in the classroom. Some popcorn and juice.

This week we also had presentations and spent some time helping middle school in the garden. This was a good opportunity for the students to learn about what legacy they will be leaving behind. As they will move on to middle school in the coming year, they also want to leave a positive legacy behind for everyone.

I hope that you all have a nice weekend, and stay safe!
