Hello, ISN family! How was your winter break? Hope you all had a great time with your family and friends. We are back to school and can’t wait to spend the remaining three (3) months with our G1 classmates.
We’ve got some cool stuff at the beginning of the year! We all got these as a present from our families.
Here are some of the photos during the mochi pounding. It was so difficult and heavy wooden mallets but we were all smiling because it was fun doing it with everyone.
G1 parents came to help us prepare the mochi!
After pounding, we were waiting for our turn to eat!
The waiting time is over! SOOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOOOO yummy! We ate not just one but three kinds of mochi! Most of us got more than 5 pieces. We were so full after. Others were saying that they were sleepy!
We used the dictionary to find some words for our UOI class. Unit 5 is all about culture.
We made our favorite flags!
Before the mochi pounding, parents came early to help us clean the school.
Look how beautiful our flags are! We also made a banner after. We will try to learn a lot about the different countries around the world. We would like to undersstand more about their culture through their food, games, songs, and celebrations.
