Martyn John Hatori-Singleton
In 2001, Martyn graduated from Middlesex University, London, UK, with a BA Honours in Sonic Art. He then worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Central St. Martins’ Art and Design College. During this period he also produced and directed an experimental education show on Resonance Fm (the UK’s first Radio Art station). In 2005 after completing a CELTA, he moved to Japan where he taught English at a variety of levels, i.e. Elementary, High School, University and Business. In 2010, Martyn travelled to Nicaragua, Central America and interned on a Permaculture Farm. He later completed a Permaculture Design Certificate with Oregon State University, USA and moved to Chiba Prefecture, Japan, where he became involved with numerous local community action and education groups. In 2019, he was registered as a United Nations Climate Change Teacher.
