After graduating from the Faculty of Education at Shinshu University, he worked for eight years at public elementary schools and seven years at junior high schools in Nagano Prefecture. He holds licenses in kindergarten first class, elementary school first class, junior high school science first class, and high school science first class. He also loves exercise, and his hobbies include running, skiing, model rocketry, and DIY shed building.
