Today a traffic safety class was held at the school. Staff from Matsumoto city hall traffic department and Alpico visited and advised us on road safety and how to use the bus while considering the needs of other passengers. Students even got a free ride on a brand new bus! During the traffic safety lecture students were given advise on pedestrian safety and how to ride a bike safely. It seems that traffic accidents involving elementary school students are sadly increasing. We were reminded of the importance of stopping, looking and waiting at crossroads.
