Hello everyone! I hope that you have had a good week, as we close off a pretty warm week.
This week, grade 3 continued in the theme of government systems. This unit is especially important as it tries to help students understand the importance of decision making. This week’s big focus was learning about capitalism and socialism.
The students looked into the differences between the two ideologies, and I think they’ve understood these concepts really clearly. We also studied the Cold War and the Berlin Wall and the connection with these concepts.
We read some books, comics and watched videos on the history of the Cold War and Berlin Wall which the students found very interesting.
Of course, on Friday ISN will host a music concert by the students of ISN elementary and conducted by the music teacher, Ms. Inuma.
